Our Tallow Shave Soap Puck is made with plant-derived oils and butters, all natural handmade, lightly scented or fragrance free, then hand pressed to 3" diameter puck, each bar weights approximately 3.5 oz. (100 g), and it is individually sealed in an airtight paper bag.
This soap was cured for at least 4 weeks, it produces a light, rich foamy lather, the soap is a gentle cleanser that leaves it nourished and smooth after each use. It makes perfect gift for fathers, brothers, sons, teachers, grandpas etc.
We kept things simple to let the creamy texture of this shaving soap stand out. A moisturizing of Kokum Butter, Shea Butter & Beef Tallow, make our luxurious shaving soap a goldmine of organic skin-enhancers that will scrub the beard without stripping away the natural oils allowing for a softer, cleaner result that won’t sacrifice the integrity of your skin.
Soap Ingredients:
Saponified Beef Tallow, Kokum Butter (comes from the seeds of the kokum tree), Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Glycerin, Lemon Balm Water, Bentonite Clay, Rosemary Oil, Cypress Oil, Patchouli Cedarwood Oil blend.
Scent Options:
1. Patchouli Cedarwood: A natural, woodsy, and fresh scent created from a blend of patchouli and cedarwood.
2. Scotch Pine Cranberry: Scotch Pine and Cranberry tiptoes you into seasonal favorites with pine needles, fresh wild berries, and crisp pear meet in a warm amber base.
3. Ocean Driftwood: This fragrance starts with crisp notes of bergamot and ocean salt, evoking the fresh sea breeze.
Note:
Why is the beef tallow used? It helps create a rich, dense and slick lather that effectively cushions the skin and allows for a smooth razor glide.
How to use it:
To use, rub your wet (but shaken out) brush briskly around over the top of the shaving soap, rubbing soap into the brush. When a lather starts to form, continue rubbing for 30-45 seconds to make sure that the brush will have picked up enough soap. Rub that over your wet beard, brushing vigorously, to coat the beard with soap, and the lather will start to build, though at this point your beard will have more soap than lather. Put a driblet of hot water in the center of the brush and continue to work up the lather. You’ll may have to add another driblet of hot to get a sufficiently wet and dense lather, but working the lather around on your beard is all to the good. Experiment over several shaves with more water and with less to find what works best for you.
